Title (Prompt): Faith

Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts is, most obviously, owned by big name companies and not by a girl sitting at a laptop on her bedroom floor.
Summary: In which Lexaeus ponders if Marluxia is up to no good.
A/N: Meh, Lexaeus, you are starting to wear me out. *sigh* At least I lasted this long.
“Are you saying you think I have no faith in Xemnas’s plans?” Marluxia stood with his arms crossed tightly across his chest, staring sharply at the other Nobody.
“That is not what I was saying, no,” replied Lexaeus calmly. “However, your recent behavior and rather guarded plans do leave some room for question.”
“My actions are merely for my own amusement and satisfaction,” Marluxia retorted, making every word clear as possible. “They are nothing to be concerned about.”
Lexaeus raised an eyebrow. “Nevertheless, we are a bit concerned.”
“‘We’? Since when have you been the spokesman for the lower half of the castle?” Marluxia scoffed, smirking.
“Vexen knows you don’t listen to him, and Zexion declined to volunteer.”
It was as simple as that. Marluxia’s expression grew sour again. “Still, surely you remember your positions here. All of my orders are to be obeyed. It’s for the good of the group.” He paused, slight smile back on his face.
“Of course. That is why we are in this castle, after all,” Lexaeus remarked pointedly. “Not to end up staging a coup.”
“A coup? I can’t believe you would suggest such a thing,” Marluxia snapped acidly. “Now, I want you to go back to the others and tell them to get their heads out of the clouds. I listen to Xemnas, and you listen to me. It works wonderfully.”
“We’re just looking out for your well-being ,” said Lexaeus, somewhat on the sarcastic side. Marluxia either didn’t notice or didn’t care.
“Very kind of you, I’m sure.”
“You know how much we care.”
The two stared at each other, silent, and then moved on their separate ways.
