Title: Crow

Warnings: None.
Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts is, most obviously, owned by big name companies and not by a girl sitting at a laptop on her bedroom floor.
Summary: In which Xigbar catches a trespasser and Xaldin thinks he’s being silly.
A/N: Oh, Disney. Sometimes you really save me on these sort of prompts. xD
“Well what do we have here?” Xigbar inspected the animal he held in his hands, frowning as it attempted to snap at his fingers. “Sure is noisy.”
“Could be because you’re choking it,” Xaldin pointed out, raising an eyebrow. “It’s just a bird. Let it go.”
“But that’s no fun,” muttered Xigbar, feigning a pout that made him look the very opposite of innocent.
“I didn’t say letting it go would be fun.”
“Just wait a moment. This little pest’s been sneaking about lately.” Xigbar paused, letting this sink in. In his hands, the bird cawed loudly and struggled to get free.
“You think we’ve seen it before?” Xaldin asked, looking thoughtful. “It does seem familiar....”
“Well it’s not like a lot of birds naturally live around here. If you’ve seen it before, of course it’ll be familiar.”
“I meant on another world. Hollow Bastion.”
Xigbar’s face lit up. “Oh, I know. It’s that meddling witch’s crow.”
Indignant, the black bird let out a squawk more of annoyance than fear of getting crushed.
“Raven, Xigbar,” Xaldin corrected. “I think it likes raven better.”
“What, we’re asking the bird’s feelings now?” Xigbar grunted, waving the animal around. The raven went back to trying to bite the Freeshooter’s fingers. “And anyway. What’s Maleficent’s little pet crow doing around here?”
“I heard she was dead now,” Xaldin replied, crossing his arms over his chest. “Must be lost.”
“Lost, or spying, hm?”
Xaldin shook his head in disbelief. “Xigbar, you are something else. If it bother you so much, just kill it and be done with it.”
Xigbar glared at the squirming bird, silent for a moment before tossing it unceremoniously forward. “Get out, then. And if you come back,” he shouted after the raven, “I’ll shoot ya! And I never miss.”
