[Kingdom Hearts] Rational [9/5]
I went to the doctor's today. >.< But no shots! Huzzah!
(9/5)
Title: Rational
Rating: Painfully G!
Warnings: No, still boring! Unless you find lunch meat disturbing and gross.
Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts is, most obviously, owned by big name companies and not by a girl sitting at a laptop on her bedroom floor.
Summary: In which Lexaeus reads a book, and Demyx pesters.
A/N: Even more dialogue! Oh, look how I’m progressing. Though I don’t mean to.
Lexaeus had always been the silent one, even more so than say, Zexion. Heck, it was in his nickname, even. Lexaeus, the Silent Hero. He wasn’t one to speak his mind as often as the others, and so thought it was perfectly sensible that he didn’t talk as often. Demyx, on the other hand, was a crazy chatterbox. More than once had he been kicked out of someone’s room or the like for not having the insight to know when they wanted him to stop talking. So, having given up on getting Zexion to talk more, Demyx moved to his next target.
Lexaeus. And it wasn’t just any old goal Demyx had in mind — he wanted Lexaeus to stop being so rational when he talked. All the senior members of the Organization, Demyx noted, were always so calm and logical when they spoke, aside from perhaps Xigbar. If he could just get one of them to express any sort of random sentiment, then maybe he’d feel as if this goal was a step closer to completion.
“So, Lex! What’re you doing?”
The elder Nobody didn’t lift his gaze from his book. “Reading.”
“Reading what?” Demyx pestered him, leaning over the back of the armchair. Lexaeus chanced a glance upward and was met by Demyx’s nearly blinding grin.
“Homer.”
“Why?”
“Because I enjoy it....” Lexaeus answered slowly.
“Really?” Demyx’s head was perched atop Lexaeus’s, his chin digging annoyingly into the redhead’s scalp.
“....Not really. I’m just bored.”
“You wanna do something with me?”
“Perhaps. As long as it doesn’t involve putting deli meats on your face like you were doing with Axel the other day.”
“Can do, Lex. No lunch meats for the Silent Hero.”
“....Thanks.”
