[Kingdom Hearts] Doctor [3/1]
Mar. 1st, 2007 05:17 pmHoo boy. And now begins the long trek in which I majestically fail to write Xaldin properly every time.
At least now my icon's appropriate. xD

Title: Doctor
Rating: PG
Warnings: Mentions of violence.
Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts is, most obviously, owned by big name companies and not by a girl sitting at a laptop on her bedroom floor.
Summary: In which Xemnas refuses to get treatment.
A/N: ...I’m getting deja vu. Have I written about this before? Crap, I think I have.
Xaldin, I need to get you out of Beast’s castle. T-T
It’s hard to type with a band-aid on the tip of your right ring finger.
“Clearly, sir, you need a doctor.”
The overcast sky swam, clouds blocking any hope of sunlight. A castle loomed in the background, gray and bleak. Xaldin was beginning to think that he should have just gone ahead and taken that beast’s heart without asking Xemnas’s approval.
“Don’t be pesky, I’m fine,” the Superior replied, as if nearly getting one’s arm torn off was a usual thing. “You know it will heal over soon.”
Xaldin eyed the mangled limb. It had practically been his fault, with the way he had goaded the beast, but Xemnas didn’t seem to care. He had moved off the topic of his injury and onto business.
“At any rate, he will be a wonderful specimen. Such anger!” Xemnas looked over at Xaldin, nodding. “You have quite a talent there, Xaldin. You and Zexion might even be on level ground now.”
Xaldin gave a sort of involuntary nod of agreement, gaze gravitating back to Xemnas’s limp arm. The sleeve of his Organization jacket had been torn in multiple places, revealing a rather gruesome set of claw marks.
“Are you sure you would not like perhaps Vexen or Zexion to take a look at that?” he inquired once more. Like Xemnas would have really changed his mind.
“I told you to let it be,” the silver-haired man said swiftly, narrowing his eyes. “How can you be focusing on your task if you are worried about a few cuts?”
The Whirlwind Lancer considered telling Xemnas that they were more than a few cuts, but decided not to. It was probably better that way. “Quite sorry. I won’t bring it up again.”
Xemnas turned away, looking back up at the gloomy castle. Somewhere inside, a roar could be heard from the west wing. Touching his injured arm lightly, he amended, “All right, maybe a few bandages would help. But I want you to stay here and work on this little problem, understand?”
“Of course, sir,” Xaldin answered, and hurried to get back in the castle before Xemnas could see how he was grinning.

Date: 2007-03-01 11:42 pm (UTC)It'll be interesting to have a whole Xaldin-month - I do rather like him. ^_^
And as usual you start off very well - that's some lovely interaction going right there, and a nice contrast to Xemnas being... 'helpful' when Xigbar needed to get wrapped up last month. I have one good guess who'd love to volunteer to play doctor and putting on those bandages if given the chance. X3

Yay new month!

Date: 2007-03-02 08:35 pm (UTC)♥ Thank you. I appreciate the assurance. xD Xaldin is one of the ones I hate writing (well, okay, not hate, just get annoyed at) because I make his personality change like, every single time. Aha.
