[Kingdom Hearts] Consequence [11/7]
(11/7)
Title: Consequence
Rating: PG
Warnings: Like, zomg, I actually mention sex in this one! *shifty glance* If you use your imagination....
Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts is, most obviously, owned by big name companies and not by a girl sitting at a laptop on her bedroom floor.
Summary: In which Marluxia leaves for Castle Oblivion, and the consequences of time are revealed.
A/N: Oh gods, I know, this has probably been done a billion times before. But my NaNo is sucking my soul dry; if creativity came in bottles at the store, that would be pretty sweet.
This one’s a little longer. It’s one of my guilty pleasure crack!pairings. xD
Every action, no matter how small, has a consequence.
A consequence is not specifically a good or bad thing. Good or bad is in the eye of the beholder. Spin around a point and one might see things in a whole new light. It is these consequences that shape how the rest of the chain of events follow.
The consequences of those brief, sensual encounters with Saïx are never on Marluxia’s mind in the heat of the moment (it’s doubtful that they’re ever on anyone’s mind at times like those). When you have more time than you know what to do with, the far future holds no interest to you.
And it’s always that far future that leads to your downfall.
“The Superior wants me over at Castle Oblivion,” Marluxia informed Saïx almost instantly after meeting with Xemnas. “Thinks I would be a satisfactory leader there.”
“Congratulations.” Saïx seemed indifferent at the news, but with the blue-haired Nobody it was always hard to tell. “Who else is going?”
“Larxene and Axel. That’s as much as I know so far,” Marluxia answered, crossing the room and standing beside Saïx, who was staring through the glass at the slowly growing Kingdom Hearts. “Anyone you would like to suggest?”
“Not at the moment.”
If something was on Saïx’s mind, Marluxia couldn’t see it. He cursed his inability to read Saïx as easily as he could the others.
“Saïx—”
“You make trouble, Marluxia,” Saïx cut him off, turning his gaze from Kingdom Hearts to the Graceful Assassin. “And sometimes you don’t even do it intentionally.”
“What are you getting at?” Marluxia raised an eyebrow, beginning to feel annoyed.
“I don’t want trouble for Xemnas. He will get us our hearts back. It is inevitable.” Saïx seemed to think this conversation was over, and switched his gaze back towards the window. Marluxia narrowed his eyes and grabbed Saïx’s shoulder, forcing him to look back.
“You don’t care what happens to me at all?”
“None of us care,” Saïx said softly.
Marluxia winced, letting go of Saïx. He knew what the man meant; no one in the Organization could truthfully care for anyone. Despite knowing this, it still irked Marluxia to no end.
“I realize that.” Stepping away from the Luna Diviner and the window, Marluxia drew up a portal behind him. “It was a pleasure working with you.”
“Indeed it was,” Saïx replied, nodding. Within seconds, it was only Saïx left in the room overlooking Kingdom Hearts.
The far future looks even further when you suddenly realize you don’t have anyone to spend the time with.

I'm a picky reader, so I get real happy when I find a writer whose works I really enjoy. :)
